Applications and models
Glycol cubic coolers are placed on the ceilings of cold storage and storage rooms of all kinds. This Intersam range is composed of three main series for high (ICA), medium (ICM) and low temperature (ICB).
Glycol commercial cubic air coolers features
Its high performance evaporator coils are built in smooth 1/2 ”copper tube and corrugated aluminum fins with gaps of 3.5; 4.2; 6 and 8mm. On the other hand, the frame is made of aluminum sheet and is provided with protection collars. It has a Venturi type production system for the application of thermostatic expansion valves.
Regarding its external structure, it is made of aluminum painted in high resistance RAL-9018 polyester color. Optionally, it is constructed entirely of stainless steel, including the tray. Thanks to its compact and highly rigid structure, vibrations are avoided. In addition, it should be noted that all its parts are easily removable to make maintenance easier.
The units come standard with helical fans with high performance protection grids and are fitted with 315 and 350mm diameter motors . They are single-phase for 230V 50Hz with degree of protection IP-54, external rotor and low consumption. The motors can be connected to a watertight general box, according to IP-55 regulations.
Finally, defrosting is carried out with 230V electric resistances and they are built in armored stainless steel tube. The derivations are avoided thanks to the vulcanized ends of the resistors that are inserted inside the battery and the tray. They connect to a watertight junction box.
The models in this range are supplied with heating elements for defrosting on request.
In order to configure computers for maximum performance, Intersam offers different options to take into account when ordering. These options allow, for example, to modify the fins, tubes, incorporate heat coils, anti-corrosion treatments, etc.
Regarding defrosting, you can opt for an electric defrost in battery and tray, or by hot gas with resistance in tray, or by drain tray, etc.

The powers of the forced draft evaporators are tested in a dry atmosphere according to the ENV-328 standard. The nominal powers indicated in this catalog correspond to the test powers (SC2) multiplied by a coefficient (latent heat factor), in order to include the increase in capacity caused by the condensation of water vapor on the surface of the evaporator. This factor varies with chamber conditions: it increases for high interior temperatures and decreases for low interior temperatures.
