Applications and models
The cube-shaped evaporators are placed on the ceilings and floors of cold and cold storage rooms of all kinds. The range of cubic ammonia evaporators Intersam is composed of 4 main series for high (INHA), medium (INHM), low ( INHB) and very low temperatures (INHT).
Thanks to its 60×60 square configuration, a greater heat exchange surface is achieved.

Its high performance evaporator coils are built in AISI-316 stainless steel tube with TIG ORBITAL welding and corrugated aluminum fins with separations of 4.2; 6; 8 and 10mm. On the other hand, the frame, which is manufactured in aluminum sheet, is provided with protection collars and has a Venturi type production system for the application of thermostatic expansion valves. The manifold and the connection sleeve are made of stainless steel.
In relation to its exterior structure, the manufacture is made of aluminum painted in high resistance RAL-9018 polyester color. Because the entire structure is compact and highly rigid, vibrations are avoided. It should be noted that all the parts are easily removable and therefore maintenance is easy.
The units are fitted with high-performance helical fans with protective grilles as standard and are fitted with 400 diameter motors, 540, 630 and 800mm., 400V / 50Hz three-phase, with IP-54 degree of protection, external rotor and low consumption. The bearings have a special grease for low temperatures down to -50ºC. All motors can be connected to a general watertight box, according to IP-55 regulations.
Finally, defrosting is carried out with 230V electric resistances built in armored stainless steel tube. Bypasses are avoided thanks to the vulcanized ends of the resistors and are inserted inside the battery and the tray. They are connected to a watertight junction box.
The models in this range can be supplied with defrosting heaters.
In order to configure the equipment to obtain its maximum performance, there are different options to take into account when making the request. These options allow, for example, to modify the fins, change the type of coolant, incorporate heat batteries, etc.
Regarding defrosting, you can choose to reverse cycle or defrost by hot gas, or by water , etc.

The powers of the forced draft evaporators are tested in a dry atmosphere according to the ENV-328 standard. The nominal powers indicated in this catalog correspond to the test powers (SC2) multiplied by a coefficient (latent heat factor), in order to include the increase in capacity caused by the condensation of water vapor on the surface of the evaporator. This factor varies with chamber conditions: it increases for high interior temperatures and decreases for low interior temperatures.
