Applications and models
Intersam Mini Ceiling evaporators are designed in the shape of a ceiling and are the ideal alternative to place in small storage and refrigeration chambers of all kinds.
This range gives its name to the ITP series in our catalog and is offered in high and low temperature versions.
Mini Ceiling evaporators features
Its high performance evaporator coils are built in 3/8 ”fluted copper tube and corrugated aluminum fin with gaps 3.5 and 8mm. On the other hand, its frame, made of aluminum sheet, is provided with protection collars and has a Venturi type production system for the application of thermostatic expansion valves.
Regarding their external structure, they are made of aluminum painted in high resistance RAL-9018 polyester color. Thanks to the fact that the entire structure is compact and highly rigid, vibrations are avoided. It should be noted that all its parts are easily disassembled, which favors its maintenance.
The units come standard with helicoidal fans with high performance protection grids and are equipped with 200mm diameter motors to wedge and 250mm for ceiling. Single-phase for 230V / 50 Hz, with IP-54 degree of protection, with external rotor and low consumption. All motors can be connected to a general watertight box, according to IP-55 regulations.
Finally, the defrosting process is carried out through 230V electrical resistances that are built in armored stainless steel tube . Thanks to its vulcanized ends, derivations are avoided and they are inserted inside the battery and the tray. They connect to a watertight junction box.
It should be noted that all models in this range can be supplied with defrosting resistors.
In order to configure the equipment and obtain its maximum performance, different options are offered to take into account when ordering. These options allow you to choose the material of the fins or apply anti-corrosion treatments if the installation conditions require it, among other modifications that can be consulted in more detail in the downloadable brochure on this page.
As regards defrosting, this can be by electric defrost on the intermediate tray or by a hot gas defrost in battery, with resistance in intermediate tray.

The powers of the forced draft evaporators are tested in a dry atmosphere according to the ENV-328 standard. The nominal powers correspond to the test powers (SC2) multiplied by a coefficient (latent heat factor), in order to include the increase in capacity caused by the condensation of water vapor on the surface of the evaporator. This factor varies with chamber conditions: it increases for high interior temperatures and decreases for low interior temperatures.
